It needed 3 coats and am still seeing some see thru paint streaks. One gallon was enough for a bathroom and part of a nother room! Is really nice look. It didnt take much to cover the previous paint. Overall it’s a great paint for furniture! My only complaint is that the paint chips/scratches at the slightest bump so a good top sealer is absolutely necessary. It covered very well and only needed two coats. I purchased this to repaint some white end tables and I was really impressed with the color and texture. Some things are worth going to the hardware store for. and now the paint is so think it starts running off. It goes on thick and yet its transparent, so you have to put more to cover. I think I can get my kids play paints and do a better job at it. This paint has very little pigment ,and brush strokes are by far the worst I have ever seen. It has pink in it, so it looks very mauve. I got barkwood cafe, which should be a nice light brown/tan. Let's see what happens when the dark green gets here. Whoever uploaded the product photos for these listings really messed up, because neither of the colors I ordered were accurate. I mixed it with a darker taupe that I had on hand to get the color to what it was supposed to be.
It actually ended up being a pale buttery yellow. The second color I ordered was called "little darling", which was supposed to be a light creamy beige. I decided to keep it and mix with a little dark green to get my desired color. One of the sample pots was cracked, so when I received it, there was paint all over the packaging. The first was what I thought was a teal color for an accent.
